DEAL COMPLETES FOR SIEMENS

We’re completing our agreement with our partners, Siemens, Bruntwood and Manchester City Council.

Work can now start in earnest on 48 contemporary 4 and 5 bedroom family houses and a new apartment block. The homes are part of wider redevelopment of the nine acre site which will also incorporate new offices aimed at medical and technical businesses and improved landscaping. The scheme accessed from Nell Lane in West Didsbury will sit alongside the existing Sir William Siemens House and the new £65m Spire Manchester Hospital.

PJ Livesey director Craig Lynch said: “This is an important milestone for the partnership and we are excited about starting work to deliver a wide range of properties. These will be high quality family homes sitting alongside a distinctive new apartment building and we anticipate the first completions by the end of this year.”

Manchester City Council leader Sir Richard Leese said: “The development will bring new jobs in a strategically important location close to the motorway and only 10 minutes from Manchester Airport. This is welcome news and will contribute to the city’s strategies by creating employment opportunities which Manchester people will be able to access.”

MAKE THE SMART MOVE

Buy your new home at our stunning Moor Park development

More and more people are making the smart move to Moor Park in Lancaster. High ceilings, spacious, practical family areas, bi-fold doors to private gardens and a glorious country setting make these natural stone houses stand out from other properties on the market in Lancaster.

The developer is the respected developer PJ Livesey, the family firm that converted the neighbouring Lancaster Moor Hospital into award winning apartments.

Group sales manager Gavin Pearce, said: “Since the beginning of the year buyers who have been considering all developments in the area have come and reserved at Moor Park.

“There are so many more developments in and around Lancaster since we started converting at the iconic Hospital and buyers have a great deal of choice. We have found that as soon as buyers come to visit Moor Park after looking at other properties, they can see the real difference in what is on

offer here. You cannot get a feel for Moor Park from a piece of paper and we like nothing more than showing what makes us stand out.

“The lifestyle and setting on offer is unrivalled and we have already reserved four properties in January with buyers interested in a further three!”

There are now just two Oakbrook properties still available and they are premium plots with open aspects and priced from £329,950. These exceptionally spacious four bedroom properties have a large formal living room as well as open plan kitchen and family space with bi-fold doors leading onto the garden.

The Cedars, Woodbridge

CONVERSION OF CEDAR HOUSE

Exceptional late 18th and early 19th century property in Woodbridge

Cedar House

P J Livesey are used to creating unique properties but even by our standards Cedar House Woodbridge is very special

We have taken this landmark property, turned it back to front, kept all the best bits and created a stunning home of remarkable space and character. The project has employed all our skills in design and construction with teams of craftsmen working on site and at our specialist workshops in Manchester.

The transformation is coming together and we are delighted to announce that Cedar House has now launched for sale.

Cedar House woodbridge

Built as a private mansion between the late 18th and early 19th centuries the property has had an interesting history and it is said that Oliver Cromwell’s head was once stored in its large chimney! The macabre relic has since been formally re-buried at Sydney Sussex College, Cambridge – Cromwell’s alma mater.

The chimney remains, together with the distinctive double pitch roof and the original gable wall exposed and restored following the demolition of a later Victorian addition.

Original sash windows on the first floor have been removed and refurbished by hand in our workshop. An existing bay window, on what was the rear of the house, has been restored and a second symmetrical bay created to balance the façade and create a handsome new frontage.

The change is dramatic and when the works are complete early next year we think we will have created one of the finest homes available in the area.

Cedar House stands in its own grounds off a private tree-lined driveway just five minutes from the centre of Woodbridge and is priced at £1.45m.

Terry’s Clock Tower Reborn

TERRY’S CLOCK TOWER REBORN

Energy efficient houses creating luxurious, sustainable living in this unique historic setting

York City Council has approved plans to bring the iconic Terry’s clock tower back into use as apartments. Our scheme will not only safeguard the much loved landmark and create unique new homes but will, for the first time, allow some public access to the top floor Clock chamber of the Grade II listed building.

The tower and the adjoining boiler building will provide 22 spacious apartments, and although totally separate from the main Factory Building residents will be able to use the services of the onsite concierge.

PJ Livesey director James Woodmansee said: “It was important for us to ensure all the listed buildings on the site are retained and the clock tower is an important symbol of the Terry story that will now be preserved for future generations.”

Preparatory work has begun and the final details of each apartment are currently being refined for release at forthcoming exclusive preview events.

Discussions are still on-going on how we can accommodate escorted public access right to the top of the tower. Development partners Henry Boot are also looking at installing a new mechanism so the Terry’s Clock will work once more.

Sales at The Residence have exceeded all expectations and apartments in this award winning development are close to completely selling out.

This Development is Now Completed.
