THE WATER GARDEN, ALDERLEY

Exclusive preview event Thursday 26th September, 2019

A private view is being held on Thursday September 26th for buyers who have registered an interest in apartment life at The Water Garden and details of the bespoke design and prices will be released.

We are incredibly proud of The Historic Quarter at Alderley Park.

This unique development blends character cottages from the original Stanley Estate and contemporary town houses set around two tranquil courtyards. It has been a joy bringing these buildings back to life, preserving their historic integrity and creating new homes for modern living. Buyers recognised that it is a very special place within the special setting of Alderley Park and all the houses have been sold.

Now the centrepiece of The Historic Quarter – the Water Garden – is being launched.

Just 19 sumptuous apartments, two garden apartments and four penthouses in a shimmering building of glass with wide balconies that cantilever over tranquil water. It will be a stunning place to live. The ultimate retreat for buyers looking for single level luxury in a setting that is private and secure.  Construction is progressing well and as we work up the building the views over the ancient parkland reveal themselves.  The first apartments are scheduled for completion in December this year. Three penthouses and one of the larger apartments have already been reserved off-plan.

A private view is being held on Thursday the 26th of September for buyers who have registered an interest in life at The Water Garden and details of the bespoke design and prices will be released. This opportunity of a lifetime will be launched nationally on September 28th.

PROPOSALS FOR PORTSMOUTH SITE

We’ve been selected to bring forward proposals to redevelop a large hospital site in Portsmouth.

St James’ Hospital, close to the sea front at Southsea, consists of a number of handsome Grade 2 listed buildings set in 25 acres of parkland.

There is a well-loved cricket pitch and pavilion and a Grade 2 listed chapel that will be retained with options for community use.

The buildings are recently vacant after NHS services were relocated to new facilities in the city and we are now consulting with the local community on how they would like to see the site developed.

P J Livesey Director, James Woodmansee, said: “The St James’ Hospital site is a landmark for Portsmouth and one that demands a unique solution. We have the extensive knowledge and experience to do this and to do it well and will be working alongside the City Council and the city’s conservation team

“This is an opportunity to redefine residential development within Portsmouth, providing unrivalled new homes on a scale that can make a real difference to the mix available, making the best use of a brownfield site and securing a long-term future for a significant range of listed buildings.

“It is an opportunity not to be squandered and our uncompromising approach to quality and heritage will create an exemplar development the local community and the wider City will be proud of.”

The first Community Consultation Event is being held on Wednesday July 17th between 2.30pm and 7.30pm at Portsmouth and Southsea Cricket Club, Locksway Road, Portsmouth. PO4 8LD

GIVING ART A NEW HOME

As part of the Didsbury Arts Festival, Green Walk will showcase the work of local artists.

One of our gorgeous properties at Green Walk in Didsbury has been turned into a Pop Up Art gallery to showcase the work of local artists.

‘Giving Art a New Home’ is part of our sponsorship of the bi-annual Didsbury Arts Festival and we are proud to support this ambitious and inspiring ten-day festival of arts and culture which takes place in locations across the area.

We collaborated with Helena Hulova-Sharpe who runs the Everyman Art Gallery on Wilmslow Road and is Visual Arts Co-ordinator for the Festival.

Work includes abstract artwork by Suzanne Bethell, full of joy, movement and life; former architect, Kevin Pockock’s bold colourful statements and pieces by Patrick Cunningham which reflect the history of Manchester and development of the cotton industry.

Complementing the art work are sculptural pieces by Martin Hedges.

All the pieces are looking for a new permanent home – with prices ranging from £150 – £4,000.

The Green Walk gallery runs from June 27th – June 30th after which we encourage you to visit the Everyman Art Gallery where Green Walk residents can enjoy a special price as a Welcome to Didsbury.

OPEN HOUSE AT THE CEDARS

The P J Livesey Group is opening the doors of The Cedars at 825 Wilmslow Road, Didsbury

Come and join P J Livesey for a one-off chance for the  public to take a look inside this historic Grade II listed house on Saturday April 6th.

Respected local historian Diana Leitch will be sharing stories of the property and describing how Didsbury would have been when the property was first built in 1857.

This is a unique opportunity ahead of work starting to convert the building into grand apartments. The house forms part of the redevelopment of the site into ‘825 Didsbury’, and is set to be the town’s most exclusive new address.

Places will be strictly limited due to space restrictions, and therefore will be allocated on a first come first served basis. You can f ind out more about the availability of spaces  here

Work elsewhere on site is well underway with construction of new houses already up to first floor level. The conversion of the existing Parklands building into sleek modern apartments is also progressing fast.

GREEN WALK APARTMENTS

The first apartments in Quantum House at Green Walk in Didsbury, have been released.

Demand in this south Manchester suburb continues to be strong and already half of these big, light filled properties have been reserved.

Which is not surprising as they offer a totally different feel for anyone looking for single level living that does not compromise on space and quality.

Just as importantly all the apartments have generous outside space, some with huge wrap around balconies which, even at the lowest level, overlook the central green area with its mature trees and open feel.

Group sales manager Gavin Pearce, said: “ Green Walk is offering a different standard of housing in this ever-popular location and that includes the apartments in Quantum House – large living spaces, custom built kitchens, top specification appliances and large wrap around balconies.”

“Buyers appreciate this and even off-plan can see they offer something different, something that stands out from the crowd.”

The first apartments are due for completion this summer.
Prices in the first release of 17 properties start from £224,950.
