Supporting Community Gardens and Green Spaces
ABOUT
Ralph Brocklehurst was an integral part of the P J Livesey story.
He partnered Peter Livesey from the beginning and loved historic buildings, their settings and gardens as well as having a great passion for plants and flowers.
He passed away in summer 2022 after a heroic battle against cancer and his knowledge and character are much missed every day.
In tribute to Ralph we are launching a fund in his name.
The Ralph Brocklehurst Legacy Fund will support community groups and organisations who are working on projects to improve public gardens and green spaces.
Eligible schemes could be located in schools, community halls, village greens or urban spaces.
Funding will be available to projects in the areas surrounding our current developments, and can be utilised to buy tools and equipment, plants and trees or to get professional help.
The P J Livesey Group are dedicated to building the very best developments in beautiful settings, and we hope Ralph’s fund will support and maintain green spaces helping them to become true community legacies.

RALPH BROCKLEHURST
Ralph Brocklehurst 1951 to 2022. Born in Stretford, Ralph first met Peter in 1955 when he was working for Manchester Council as an Architectural Technician. Their first project together was the development of Windlehurst Hall.
Peter recognised his unique skill set and they worked alongside each other for 30 years, saving some of the country’s most precious historic properties and becoming close friends along the way. His passion for buildings and ability to see them in 3D to unlock their new potential was unique and he deployed the same passion and knowledge for gardening and always had a project of some kind ‘on the go’.
He fought cancer with a humour and candour that was typically Ralph. The Fund is supported by his widow Linda and two daughters.
